OLD LYME BURIAL RECORDS
The Old Lyme Cemetery Association oversees eight cemeteries in Old Lyme: including Duck River, Meetinghouse Hill, Griswold, Champion, Mile Creek, Point o’Woods, River Road, and Laysville.
The OLCA’s Restoration Committee is collecting data on burials in Old Lyme starting with Duck River, where interments span 350 years. When this resource is complete, it will be posted here. Until then, burials can be found using the resources below.

Find burials in the oldest sections of Duck River Cemetery.
In 2019, James Kolb, with help from Old Lyme Historical Society volunteers, undertook the creation of a digital database of burials in the Ancient, Victorian, and Middle sections. Please contact us at if you are interested in finding a specic burial.
The Old Lyme Cemetery Association acknowledges the Old Lyme Historical Society’s work in 2019 to initiate the Duck River Cemetery project with James Kolb, and welcomes its assistance in providing public access to historical burial information in Old Lyme.
HALE COLLECTION of CONNECTICUT Cemetery records
Transcriptions from headstones in the Duck River Cemetery as well as other cemeteries in Old Lyme were collected as part of a WPA project in the 1930s. While some parts of the Charles R. Hale Collection have been digitized, information for several of Old Lyme’s cemeteries is not available online. The Hale Collection includes the following OLCA cemeteries: Champion, Duck River, Laysville, Griswold, Meeting House Hill, Point o’Woods, and Waite.
